Vietnam National Tu
Located at 244 Ba Thang Hai Street, District 10, Vietnam Quoc Tu is a large temple of Ho Chi Minh City. Construction of the pagoda began in 1964 according to the design project of famous architect Ngo Viet Thu. For many reasons, it was not until the 1990s that the pagoda was completely built and put into operation... In October 2014, new construction began on Vietnam Quoc Tu. On November 7, 2017, the pagoda was officially inaugurated.


The center of the pagoda is the main hall with modern Vietnamese Buddhist architectural style. Entering the main hall of Vietnam Quoc Tu, there is one thing that makes visitors from near and far overwhelmed. It is the space full of magnificence with light radiating from the elaborately arranged lamp truss on the ceiling of the main hall.

The lamp booth consists of dozens of square lamp compartments that radiate soft yellow light and are full of mystery. In the middle of each lamp holder is an image of a lotus flower, symbolizing the spread of light of Buddhism. The main hall's marble floor is shiny like a mirror, reflecting the bright light from the lamps.


The shimmering light in the main hall enhances the majesty of the Buddha Shakyamuni statue in the center. This statue is cast in solid bronze, weighs 35 tons, is 7.5 meters high, and is one of the largest bronze Buddha statues in Vietnam. The statue was enshrined at the temple on January 11, 2017. The special atmosphere here makes visitors temporarily escape from a mundane life full of worries to feel the serenity of Buddha's realm.

Central post office

After more than a hundred years of existence, the Saigon Central Post Office building is still a beautiful and impressive architectural work. This building with Western architectural style combined with Eastern decoration was built by the French between 1886 and 1891. Saigon Central Post Office is a special architectural work in Ho Chi Minh City. .


Saigon Central Post Office is located at 2 Paris Commune Street, on the highest land of Ho Chi Minh City. Along with the Notre Dame Cathedral on the opposite side, the Saigon Central Post Office is one of the most beautiful examples of Renaissance architecture in Vietnam.


The initial construction and inauguration of the project was led by architect Gustave Eiffel. After 23 years, architect Villedieu and his assistant Foulhuox designed the new construction. The beautiful features of the three-story semi-submerged building, seen from the outside, are the row of curved windows, the large clock above the main door to the building and the red flag with a yellow star, the national flag of Vietnam. , fluttering in the wind. The most prominent symbol of the market is the image of a clock at the south gate of the market like the Big Ben clock in London. The market's history dates back to the early 17th century, at that time the market was located near the Saigon River and was a place for traders to buy and sell. During the resistance war against the French, the market was located on the banks of the Ben Nghe River, this wharf was used to serve visitors and soldiers entering the city.
