How to Make California Rolls

Ingredients (For 1 roll)

  • Nori (Seaweed, 21x19 cm): 1 sheet 
  • Sushi Rice* : ± 170 grams 
  • Lettuce: 1 large sheet 
  • Kamaboko Crab (fish paste): 2 pieces 
  • Baked Omelet: according to taste 
  • Avocado: according to taste 
  • Flying fish roe: according to taste

<Main Ingredients> Making Sushi Rice

Rice is the main ingredient for making sushi. First, prepare the rice that will be used to make California Roll! Put a sheet of Konbu nori into water and rice (± 300 grams of rice), bring to a boil, then add flavored vinegar (50 ml of vinegar mixed with 14 grams of sugar and 5 grams of salt) then stir quickly.

How to make

1. Place a sheet of nori on a rolling mat, then spread the rice over the nori and spread evenly. Cover the rice with plastic wrap, hold the nori with your hands then turn.

2. Place the lettuce, Kamaboko crab, baked egg and avocado in the middle of the nori.

3. Hold the edge of the rolling mat then roll it. After that, fix the sushi roll and compact it by pressing it gently.

4. Pull out the rolling mat, then cut the roll then remove the plastic wrap. Finally, cover the sushi with flying fish roe.
