At one glance, you'll be thinking "Oh Luke must have forgotten to rewrite his working title for his article!". In fact, the title is the actual title of this write up. Of what to write. This is an actual follow up article from the first one: Why are you writing?


As a writer, we often find ourselves struggling with finding a great topic of what to write, so that my readers could enjoy and engage with? Personally, I still struggle quite a lot with. The lack of idea is not the actual culprit, in fact, I dare say, as you read my mumbling words - you are thinking about the idea you have about your next write up. Ideas are abundance. But why do we struggle when it comes to writing? Procrastination? maybe. But perhaps there's lack of understanding, and doing research could take a huge chunk of your time to produce a high quality article. It's all in our head, the ideas, and the reasons not to write. Funny how that works.


I'll assume that is what you are thinking about because this is a platform for bloggers like you and me. Ideas are plentiful as they can come from internal (experience) and external (surroundings and interactions) sources. This article is written, that started as an idea after interacting with the platform - I've seen too much of A.I generated content that its no longer funny to read. Its excruciating painful and cringe to read. I also have written the first part of these 2 part series. I might modify the article down the road to suit future trends better, but ultimately the core idea of this writing stays the same:

What to write???

You might think that you will get a general idea of how to generate idea of what to write this article, but news flash: - you always had an idea of what to write. The purpose of this article is to show you what to write: next. Or how you could start off. Before anything else, here's a huge reason why you should write.

Writing will open up new path to earning income online. Both in crypto world and freelancing industry.

There are multiple dozens of ways to earn through writing - you can find them by googling: "How to earn writing online". Or something similar to that. If you are like me, who could barely find the time to write, writing 1 article per week is quite good, and achievable. It's a good start, you could increase the workload to 2 per week and so forth. Or you could remain with 1 article per week, but ultimately spend most of those time perfecting your article.


For a good milestone, I usually spend 30 minutes per day on writing my article and save most of them as draft. When I decide to publish them, I'll reword, rewrite, add some pictures for context and comedic purpose and then reread before finalizing publish. Adding up, that is just around 2 to 3 hours per week. Not bad I guess. If you are not willing to spend that amount of time to write, then, I am unsure of why you are here in the first place. Maybe you just want to read, and there is nothing wrong with that. But the project has given you a chance for you to polish and build a skill that you can potentially use everywhere, anytime to earn. If you want to start with close to zero fund to earning in crypto, writing is a good way to do so. Through writing in platforms such as this, you can increase your earnings in the long run.

So back to the question: What to write?

People, you need to stop asking A.I to write you an article! They sucks balls, quite literal and figuratively. You could however use A.I to look for an idea of what to write. But don't ask it to write for you. It can never write for you if you want to make it as an online writer. The A.I generated stuff stank the online space with cheap and generic piece of garbage. Not to mention most of them are actually copy-righted works! Yikes.


You could have many ideas that if possible, you would want to write about all of them! Let me give you an example of what has the highest suitability to this platform.

1. Write about crypto (DUH). This is a blogging site that exist in the realm of crypto, of course you should write about crypto! So what about crypto you should write about then? Well, you could write about your experience with certain crypto. That way, you will no longer be an A.I. Because you can't ask nobody else to write down your own experience and paint the picture as accurate as you your own can. Also, you can write about certain crypto and tell us why you love the project and the journey you took with it. There can be more, and you can be technical about it too. Like guides so to speak.
2. Write about financial stuff - This is the most sought out topic in the interweb. Anything about financial sells. Why? Because we love money. Kidding. Not. We need money everyday, of course most people out there are looking for solid advice that will help them get more. I tend to write the microeconomic when it comes to financial topic. It helps me relax, writing about how everything correlated.
3. Hobby - most people think that writing about hobby is boring. "Who wants to read about my hobby??". Honestly, some people out there shares the same hobby as you. And they might be searching for a dedicated blog that writes about the specific hobby. Pair it with SEO, you'll bring more people from outside of this platform to your page. A dedicated hobby blogs are rare these days. Thanks youtube - yeesh.
4. You could write something about your speciality trades, ie: medical, financial advisory, political, sports, and more. It does not beat a real professional that writes about their expertise and relay messages through writing to be honest. If you can share your view through the lens of your expertise, people will treat your content as gold.

Okay, I think I've said enough about that - my point is that there are thousands and more topics and ideas to explore through writing that we can actually write in the platform. Looking at A.I generated content, it saddens me that a potent technology being used in such a way. The point of technology was initially created NOT to make you a lazy bum. It's supposed to level up your skill and writing game.

Sharing is after all caring

Here's a piece of advice that I can share with you. It does not matter what topic - the secret is in how you write it. If you end up sounding too formal, your writing may resemble a generic A.I. If you write too formally, your write up will be chaotic and hard to read. Keep it in between.

"Honestly, the best advice I have if you are looking for one is just to be you. Even when writing. The important thing is to treat your readers as they should be treated. If you are trying to teach, treat them as a student. If you are trying to share info, you could treat them as a friend. Key is "How would you talk to this different types of people". I tend to mix all of this into an article whenever possible because honestly I don't treat spammers as friend - and I will come across as more hostile.

Nothing beats writing about something you are truly passionate about, because if you are passionate, your true voice will be out too."

What makes certain youtuber are more fun and interesting to watch compared to others? Its their personality isn't it? I would love to believe in the persona that they are portraying is their real self. (Although we know some of them are just acting in such a way to attract more watchers and followers). The same goes to writing. If you write, what are your trying to convey? If you read it back, does it actually sound like you? Or you wouldn't even say those thing you write? I tend to ramble, here and there when I speak - and I find it much more pleasing to write, the way I would speak about it. That's my voice. This, is my own voice. With no filter. To some, understandably, writing in your honest self is terrifying. No gain without shame they always say.


Then I would take that very voice to write about subjects that are of interest to me. Forgive me, charts are seriously boring, and that is why I don't present them in my writing. I'm not an analyst, I'm a writer. Causation and correlation is a better suit to my voice. To some other people, analyzing stuff is better suit for their own niche. That depends. There's multiple combinations of how to write, if you don't explore now, you might not be able to find your own voice.

Since you are writing about your own experiences with the topic that you are writing, with your own voice, now you have a working formula of how to be a writer. The next step is just for your to organize what you write so that it can be read easily by your readers. There are many ways to do this, and highly dependent on your own preferences. The point is just to organize your writing.
