And if they are still on time?
Really, asking financial advice from a baby?

This Is Not Financial Advice very great

Yes, I try to keep my ear to the ground and I love looking for new narratives, well no I am looking for narratives that will do well in the mid-term and long-term. I mentioned that last week:

To go a bit further this week let me tell you about how I tried this narrative approach last year and if it worked for me.
Yes, I know everything has gone up, but some coins went up more than others. And what those coins that went up more have in common is often that they are part of a popular narrative.
Before I get into those narratives let me give you some examples where I played the narrative game successfully.
The narratives I thought would do very well and will do very well in the next bull run are AI and Gamefi, no surprises there I hope.

It´s All About The Retail Baby

The reasoning is simple, bull runs are driven by retail.
Retail has not arrived yet.
Retail is not like you or me.
Retail has been drinking beer and watching football since they sold in 2022.
Now they will come back as soon as there are crazy amounts of money to be made and what narratives will they pick.
Not Defi, Not DePin, Not Oracles, Not RWA.
They will pick those they know:

• Meme
• Games
• Betting
• AI

And the only reason that AI is there is because it´s the magic word even for no-coiners, it sounds mystical but they hear it everywhere and so it resonates.
Hence when I started testing this narrative stuff for myself I used three coins:
$IMX, $RNDR, and $RON

Immutable X (IMX)

Now IMX is not pure gaming it´s a layer two, one of the first using the ZK roll-up tech and it proved how wonderful it works for NFTs on ETH for games like Gods Unchained.
I got in around September and it´s a solid 4X atm. It´s also a good bet as it will touch ZK layer two and gaming, both were hot narratives these last 6 months.

Ronin ($RON)

This was my biggest bet as it was a bit of a hidden Gem that was not widely spoken about maybe that is why I did not notice the till November when I got in at 0.80 cents. So, it's still a 3X after the sell-the-news event we saw this week.
That event allowed me to buy back a lot of RON I sold over the weekend at a nice little discount. Ronin is an EVM blockchain specifically forged for gaming they hold Axie Infinity but also Pixels (most popular game atm) will use the Ronin chain.
And again I combined the Gaming narrative with a more safe bet like a blockchain.

Render ($RNDR)

Render is probably one of the biggest AI coins around atm and it again is not purely one narrative as we will see later on but a mix. And if you mix the right narratives you have gold, if you mix the wrong ones you have....nothing.
Render allows you to rent out your GPU power to those who lack it, which makes it DePIN more than AI but the computing power needed for an AI-generated reality would be much easier obtainable using something like Render. Hence they jumped on the AI train as the protocol has use cases in an AI-generated future.
Got in around Sep at $1.50 so a steady 3X.

Am I Too Late?

These coins clearly performed better than last bull runs Gems like MATIC (POL for the Hipsters), ADA, or EGLD who did less than 2X in the same period.
Why is that?
It´s old narratives versus new narratives. Meaning two things. The old ones are no longer shiny and new, and a lot of people are holding huge bags of these old hip narratives that they gladly dump, hence increasing selling pressure.
Are you too late, As a matter of fact, you are. Even this baby advised everyone 6 months ago to check their bags and swap them for newer bags.
You are too late to be early you missed the 4X and your old bag did a 2X if you were lucky. But and this is as always in my stories there is a Big Butt (because I like Big Butts......) your not yet Elon Musk late to the Bitcoin Party.
You are fashionably late in the crypto community, but your exit liquidity is not even in line for this bull run so you have time. Not a lot of time but you have time.

What Are You Saying?

I am saying that there is still an opportunity, 4X sounds amazing after this bear market but those are just the pre-halving, pre-bull run Xs. They are not the Wen Moon Xs.

Welcome To Crypto

Nothing is certain, this is crypto, but if we get a post-halving bull run the right coins, with the right narratives turn that 4X into a 40X. That is what I mean when I say you still have time, but don't step in the bull run crap as so many.
Don´t assume every coin will fly. Because they will, almost every coin will do a 7-10X in the alt season that follows after BTC and ETH broke their All all-time high (ATH).
But only the right narratives will boldly go beyond where any coin has gone before. And the best coins for that mission are those that get close to the ATH prior to the halving and reach price discovery soon after the halving.
Because when you go beyond your ATH and into price discovery, nobody is holding bags they paid too much for and need to dump. That is why you want a newer bag and a narrative with momentum. The longer that price discovery period takes the closer to the sun you will get.

The Pessimist

Now there will be those lovely pessimists who will say that the coins that pump now peak too early.
That those who chase a pump get burned.
That these coins had their time in the sun and will crash back down to earth just like Icarus.
And they have a point, but not at this point (in time).
First of all, you don´t chase a pump. You are not looking for pump&dumps.
You want to find a solid project whose price has risen over months and whose narrative is still happening when the halving has passed.
Because once the halving is done, things change.

The Post-Halving Perspective

Before the halving, you can make mistakes, but after the halving, you need to make money.
That means you have 90 days to decide which narrative you think will be the one that will run when the bulls run. And to select that shiny new coin with a 40X potential.
Right now, if you did not load up on the right stuff you missed a 3X, but after the halving if and hopefully when things go parabolic that 3X can be a 30X within one month.
That is when you want to be right.
Now below you will find what the narratives looked like so far. Social-fi had a short lifespan but Gaming, L2, and AI seem to remain constant so let me give you my take on some narratives since you still have time.

 
Bikini Bottom Line

Okay, I had written a whole second part about those narratives that I would pick and why. But this then would become a 2000+ words post and nobody has time for that, right?
I mean it was already a 12-minute read and that was before I finished putting dots on i´s. So let me spare you today, I hope I gave you something to think about.
Think about your bags and if they still represent a popular narrative.
Think about retail and what narratives they would pick first when they switch off their TV and return to the crypto-verse drawn in by the dollars(yes they still think in fiat).
Do some research and make sure you are comfortable with your portfolio going into the bull run madness, because after the halving you might no longer have time to change.
When You do that I promise I will post my favorite narratives and two related coins that could do very well in my post tomorrow.
