INTRO

As I had predicted in my last $BULB article, the interest in BULBapp increased with the rise in interest for the Solana ecosystem, and of its price, of course. As we can see, from their latest weekly recap on Twitter, writers and users in general have increased exponentially (https://twitter.com/bulbappio/status/1741740612465098815), in part also because of me and my referral, welcome everyone! And for all the others that are still reading my articles on Medium, what are you waiting for?!? Join now: bulbapp.io .
But, like with every other Application, once it starts being succesfull, some problems start to appear.

THE PROBLEMS

Even though, in some articles I've joked about farming & dumping $BULB, in my article completely dedicated to the app, I clearly stated thet the potential to be more than just a simple DO to EARN app, is there. But, I also noted that it depends on if certain things are met, I'll leave you the link for the full read: "The Bull Case for $BULB".
The problem is, that at its current state, the app isn't even close to the Standards set by Medium. Sure, we're talking about a project that is trying to bring Medium in a WEB3 version, with a totally different revenue distribution, which means that there are definetely innovative components. But, the user experience needs to show at least the possibility of competing with Medium, and also give everyone the opportunity to be visible, things that right now are not in the place they should be. As a matter of fact, lately the app has been very slow, a thing that didn't allow me to work as efficently as I used to a few months back, when there were less people. Of course, this is just a server issue, which is also a good sign because it means that users are increasing, but it also means that it's time to expand the servers capabilities. The other problem that I encountered, is a huge difference on how Medium's algorithm acts compared to BULB's. Since, once I write my articles, I publish them on Medium as well, I can notice what the algorithm does to the same articles. On one side, I notice that my most viewed articles on BULB are the more serious ones and not the ones dedicate to earning or Airdrops (Don't get me wrong, those also have their utility), which is awesome. On the other hand, I also see that the articles that do well, die very quickly. For example, my COSMOS $ATOM article went very well, and I wrote it when $ATOM was at 6$ (13 October 2023), even though many had read it, after a week it was basically non existant on the platform. If you think about it, it could have been useful to many people. Right now, everyone talks about the Cosmos Ecosystem, on Twitter, Youtube... If the article would have been showed more on the timeline, some people could have doubled their investment and qualified for 4 to 5 Airdrops, based on their time of entry. Instead on Medium, my $NAM Airdrop article of November 6th 2023, is still getting views today, although the snapshot has already been done and the claim is live right now. What I'm trying to point out, is that great articles, that the readers themselves have considered as such, aren't getting the attention they deserve. In short, articles that have been created with a longer time frame in mind, get crushed by the platform. This has led us to the current state, where you can basically only find Airdrop articles, thus people only write those. And don't get me wrong, free money is great. I also wrote many Airdrop articles, like the recent: $MANTA AIRDROP . However, there has to be also space for those articles that talk about, improve and enrich our industry, or to the ones that are simply written with a longer time frame in mind. Therefore, I really hope to see improvments and updates to fix these problems. Otherwise, it will end up being the classic DO to EARN app, that dies as soon as the token goes live.

THE TOKEN ISSUE

Speaking of the token, from what I've heard, the BULB team seems intentioned to make the token tradable in the second half of 2024. Considering how much the situation has changed since I wrote the last time about $BULB, I'm not convinced anymore that this is a good idea. Solana is receiving more interest than any other Crypto, and it finds itself fully in the Airdrop Narrative, after the recent launch of $JTO, and soon: Jupiter, MarginFI, KAMINO, Parcl... and many more. Knowing that narratives in the crypto space are not destined to last, and it's obvious that people will get tired of getting farmed by these points system before getting the actual Airdrops. Does it really make sense to wait till the second half of the year? The users that entered recently are here, also, to get the most out of the Solana ecosystem, thus they're expecting a Token. With all the Dapps that have launched or are about to launch, why would these users wait until the second half of the year, while watching all the other Dapps dropping tokens to their users. And let's not forget, that if the project is valid, people don't just stay, but the launch of the token also attracts new users, just look at $TIA. Plus, it's also about time that users get a real return on their work, instead of just watching their token number go up, without knowing if it's time well spent.

CONCLUSIONS

We are at a turning point, if BULBapp won't be able to evolve with its users, it will be a dead project by the time its token is exchangeable. Otherwise, thanks also to the great tokenomics of which I talked about in the past, it could become the standard for simular Applications in WEB3, and maybe even surpass WEB2 Apps like Medium. The goal of this article, is not to give BULBapp for dead, but to point out that if the app doesn't improve and evolve, things are not looking to well. Same thing goes for $BULB, if it doesn't start to serve its actual purpose. In any case I'm here, ready to see where things are headed, and I invite you to join me: bulbapp.io .
$BULB is dead, long live $BULB.
