6.William Bonin (Freeway Killer)

William Bonin also known as the Freeway Killer or the Freeway Strangler, tortured and raped at least 21 young men to death between 1979 and 1980. He dumped their bodies on highways in Southern California. After confessing to killing 14 people, he was executed by lethal injection in 1996. He spent fourteen years on death row before his execution.

7.Paul Knowles (The Casanova Killer)

Knowles, a.k.a The Casanova Killer, used his charm to attract and reassure people. Although he claims to have killed a total of 18 people, the actual number is thought to be much higher. His victims were men, women and children. In 1974, he was killed by an FBI agent while trying to escape.

8. John George Haigh (Acid Bath Murderer)

Haigh operated in England in the 1940s. He is said to have killed 9 people but was found guilty of the murder of 6. Haigh easily attracted rich people, took them to a warehouse and shot them to death there. He dissolved the bodies of his victims in sulfuric acid and sold their property under false documents. He was executed in 1949.

9.Dennis Rader (BTK)

Between 1974 and 1991 Rader, who killed 10 people in Wichita Kansas, sent letters to police officers using the name 'BTK'. 'BTK' stands for 'bind, torture, kill'. After following his victims for a while, he would enter their homes, tie them up and strangle them. He disappeared in 1988 and was found in 2005 thanks to a disc he sent to the authorities. He confessed to his crimes but was sentenced to 10 consecutive life sentences. His earliest release date is February 26, 2180.

10.Patrick Kearney (The Trash Bag Killer)

Kearney, also known as the 'Trash Bag Killer', was a serial killer active between 1975 and 1977. Kearney, who had a high IQ, confessed to killing 32 homosexual men. The killer, who disposed of his victims' bodies wrapped in garbage bags on a California highway, was convicted of 21 murders but was sentenced to life in prison for his confession.
