Alejandro Garnacho Ferreyra is a rising talent in the world of football, known for his skills as a winger. Born on July 1, 2004, Garnacho began his football journey in Spain, where he initially represented his birth country at the youth level.
In October 2020, Garnacho made a significant move to join the youth system of Manchester United, a renowned club in the Premier League. During his time at Manchester United's youth academy, Garnacho showcased his potential and talent, winning prestigious accolades such as the FA Youth Cup and the Jimmy Murphy Young Player of the Year award in May 2022.

Following this, on 4 October, he netted a decisive goal for United's U21 squad against Barrow in the 2022–23 EFL Trophy. Garnacho initiated his maiden senior appearance for United on 27 October, participating in a 3–0 triumph against Moldovan side Sheriff Tiraspol in the UEFA Europa League. Subsequently, manager Erik ten Hag commended his progress over recent weeks, expressing satisfaction with Garnacho's enhanced mindset and resilience, contrasting his prior discontent.


On 3 November, he notched his inaugural senior goal in a Europa League encounter versus Real Sociedad, facilitated by his idol Cristiano Ronaldo. Garnacho clinched his premiere Premier League goal on 13 November, a last-gasp winner against Fulham. Moving forward, on 14 January 2023, during the Manchester derby, Garnacho orchestrated Marcus Rashford's 82nd minute decisive strike in a 2–1 victory over Manchester City. However, on 14 March 2023, Garnacho disclosed his unavailability for several weeks due to an ankle ligament injury sustained in a match against Southampton. Lastly, on 28 April 2023, Garnacho penned a contract extension binding him to the club until 30 June 2028.


Prior to the onset of the 2023–24 Premier League season, Manchester United unveiled that Garnacho's jersey number would undergo a transition from 49 to 17. Fast forward to 3 September 2023, Garnacho netted a late goal versus Arsenal, which stirred controversy as it was dubiously ruled offside, a decision vehemently contested by manager Erik ten Hag. Then, on 26 November, he initiated his Premier League scoring account for the season with a spectacular bicycle-kick from 15 yards (14 m) away, kickstarting the scoring in a 3–0 triumph over Everton, thus earning him the accolade of Premier League Goal of the Month for November 2023. Continuing his exploits, on 29 November, he registered his premier Champions League goal in a riveting 3–3 draw against Galatasaray on their turf. Adding to his list of accomplishments, on 26 December, Garnacho showcased his prowess by netting twice in a remarkable comeback from a 2-0 deficit against Aston Villa, securing a memorable 3–2 victory and garnering the Man of the Match distinction.


Garnacho possessed eligibility to represent his birth nation, Spain, as well as Argentina, owing to his Argentine mother. His international journey commenced with three appearances for the Spain under-18 team throughout 2021.
On 7 March 2022, Garnacho received a summons to join the senior Argentina squad, initially named in a 44-player roster for their dual World Cup qualifiers in that month. Despite making the cut for the final 33-man squad, he remained sidelined in both fixtures.
Garnacho inaugurated his tenure with the Argentina under-20 squad on 26 March 2022, starting in a friendly clash against the United States. Nonetheless, he reached a significant milestone on 15 June 2023, making his maiden appearance for the senior team during a friendly against Australia at Workers' Stadium, entering the fray as a substitute for Nicolás González in the latter stages of the match.


Renowned for his dynamism upfront, Garnacho garners acclaim for his blistering pace and adept dribbling skills, coupled with his knack for crafting scoring opportunities and infiltrating the opposition's penalty area. Garnacho entered the world on 1 July 2004 in Madrid, where his Spanish-born father, Alex Garnacho, and Argentine mother, Patricia Ferreyra Fernández, welcomed him into their lives. Alongside him, his younger brother, Roberto Garnacho, completes their family circle. Notably, Alex Garnacho maintains close ties with the management firm Leader Sports Management, which presently oversees Alejandro's professional affairs.
Adding another dimension to his personal life, Garnacho shares a relationship with his girlfriend, Eva, with whom he welcomed a son named Enzo on 4 October 2023. This joyous addition to their family undoubtedly brings further fulfillment and happiness to Garnacho's life beyond the football pitch.
