My name is Collins. In early 2018 I remembered listening to my friends talk about Java, Python, and lots of other stuff like how ads work on Facebook. They made it sound so cool. When I got back home that day I researched all the tech stuff I heard them talk about that day, and in my mind, I knew this was the future.

My tech journey started in December 2018, I was an intern at The Roothub learning web development. It was fun being introduced to programming languages and as a first-timer, I was wowed. I was also exposed to Digital marketing, something I really love now.

Later on, I didn't really find fulfillment in coding again, I had to slow down. Within me I knew I have always been that guy that was interested in the sales of tech products to any audience, I wanted to be the brains behind the strategy, and improvement of any product that wanted to do well in the market. And as at then, I didn't really know what that was.

So another chapter of my tech journey was opened Digital marketing, I took lots of courses online, from Udemy to Google Digital marketing courses, and I watched lots of YouTube videos. My curiosity grew until later that year (2020) one of my Facebook friends published a post that had a picture of a Product School certificate, he dropped a link too and advised any of his friends interested to enroll in the course. So I grabbed that opportunity.

So I found myself doing the "How to Build a Digital Product" master class at Product School and I got certified too, it was amazing being taught by professionals in different fields of product management. I was finally introduced to new things related to something I loved. This pushed me to look for people in my tech Community that were interested in Product management too.

I will be talking how i got into "Product Management" in the next part.
